Vision: In this role, we envision providing comprehensive intervention and support to high school students, with the flexibility to assist K-12 as necessary. Through student-facing work, advocacy, training, collaboration, and leading social-emotional learning groups, we aim to address the diverse needs of our students effectively. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, we strive to create a nurturing environment where every student feels supported and empowered to succeed. Job Details:

  • 0.7 to 1.0 position, (0.7 Social Work + optional 0.3 Academic Counselor)
  • Provide intervention for High School students, assisting K-12 as needed
  • Consult with and train teachers and staff regarding student needs
  • Facilitate referral process to enable our students to receive more intensive therapy and support
  • Lead social emotional learning groups
  • Report to the Director of Student Support
  • Teams with K-4 Social Worker, 5-8 Social Worker, Deans of Students, Academic Counselors, Family Ministries, and on-site Mental Health professionals to provide social/emotional support to our student body

Job Requirements: 

  • Advocacy skills and knowledge about the effects of adverse childhood experiences 
  • Strong communication skills
  • Desire to work well in a team
  • Ability to navigate a variety of needs effecting students
  • Ability to make decisions and take actions in a timely manner
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers and other school staff
  • Knowledgeable about making appropriate referrals to mental health services
  • Ability to complete necessary documentation in a timely manner   
  • Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling Psychology with Clinical Experience is required, including familiarity with mental health diagnosis and intervention with adolescents
