Upper School

In Upper School, students develop their gifts and callings.

From a middle-school experience designed to build a solid foundation to high-school years featuring college preparation, Upper School at Hope Academy sets students on a unique path for success.

As our students step into grades 6-8, we seek to ground them in a classical education that will build confidence and skill for a more challenging high school curriculum. Once in grades 9-12, students begin studies that are more focused on their future after Hope Academy—in their vocations, service of others, and ongoing love of God.

In Upper School, our unique House System helps students develop a deeper sense of identity, belonging, and leadership.

Starting in 6th grade, every student is assigned to a House where they compete monthly, earning points based on Tournament, Unity, and Service. The House champion for the month earns a catered meal provided by Hope Academy, a relic for their House, and an out-of-uniform day. Juniors and Seniors lead our Houses and plan the House meetings and monthly House Feasts.

House Tournaments include:

  • Athletic competitions
  • Pumpkin carving
  • Giant “Guess Who” games
  • Knockerball
  • Math competitions
  • Karaoke
  • Mario Kart racing
  • And many more!

I really love that at Hope Academy they have Houses. I’ve never had a school that has these. It makes a big impact from seniors down to sixth graders.”
