On-call
Admin Volunteer
We are looking for volunteers that can jump in and help fill spots in our office, at our reception desk, or as a cafeteria lunch scanner as need arises. Training will be provided. Hours range from 8am-5:30pm M-F.
On-call Classroom
Monitor Volunteer
Classroom Monitors will be called to help supervise in our Upper School classrooms as needed. Volunteers will not be asked to teach, simply to be present. Hours range from 9:30-4:30 M-F.

Project Volunteer
Project Volunteers will be contacted to assist with projects including mailers, test proctoring, and other needs that arise throughout the school year. Times and days vary.

Lower School opportunities

Before School Tutor
Work one-on-one with a lower school student to provide extra help in reading or math.
Specific Days: Monday - Friday, 8:45 - 9:45 a.m. (Weekly)
Time Commitment: Quarter

Mathletics Tutor
Join our Mathletics team and help 2nd
grade students sharpen their math skills through fun games and strategies.
Specific Days: Tuesday, 8:45-9:45 a.m.
Time Commitment: Semester

Jumpstart Reading Buddy
Instill a love for reading in 1st
grade students by becoming a reading buddy.
Specific Days: Tuesday, 10:00-10:30 a.m.
Time Commitment: Semester

Lower School Classroom Assistant
Help a teacher in a K-5 classroom with filing, grading, teaching small groups, or working one on one with students.
Specific Days: Monday-Friday (2 or more hours weekly - time varies)
Time Commitment: Quarter

Robotics Mentor
Work with K-12th grade students to teach them about team work, critical thinking, and a small amount of programming through our
Robotics programming! No experience required.
Specific Days: Monday-Friday, 7:45-9:45 AM
(one or two days / week)
Time Commitment: Quarter

ProTech Volunteer
Work with K-12th grade
Hope Academy is developing a future work initiative and is looking for volunteers with experience in programming, construction, skilled trades, robotics, manufacturing technology, and resource coordination for this effort. Kinship Mentor
Hope Academy has partnered with local mentoring organization
Kinship
Greater Twin Cities to provide one-on-one mentoring for our 3rd-5th grade students.

Specific Days: 3-4x per month (outside of school hours)

Upper School opportunities

Upper School Academic Support Tutor
Work one-on-one with 6th-12th grade students who are struggling with subjects including writing, math, and science.
Specific Days: Monday-Friday, 7:45-9:45 AM (one or two days / week)
Time Commitment: Quarter

ACT Tutoring
If you remember your high school algebra and geometry OR the English grammar rules OR you have good reading skills then we could use your help! Be trained in ACT Tutoring and help our High School students improve their ACT scores. About 1-2 hours of training is provided.
Specific Days: Thursday, 8:45-9:45 AM, Minimum 1-2 times per month
Time Commitment: Semester
