Upper School Main Office Coordinator

Job Details

The Upper School Main Office Coordinator is responsible for general and clerical tasks at Hope Academy. This position is functions as a point of contact for Upper School staff, students, parents/guardians, and guests.

The following reflects essential functions for this position but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned:

  1. Greet and assist all parents, staff, and students who come into the Upper School office.
  2. Tend to students’ needs.
  3. Provide administrative support to the Upper School Principal.
  4. Maintain student attendance, Upper School Calendars, and students’ digital and cumulative files.
  5. Receive and distribute messages to students.
  6. Assist with the coordination of events (picture day, driver’s ed, etc.).
  7. Process and distribute student referral paperwork.
  8. Communicate with parents.

Education & Skills Required

  1. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the mission and work of Hope Academy and a desire to play an integral part in growing the impact of Hope Academy.
  2. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  3. Computer skills required. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  4. Willingness to go above and beyond in building relationships with students.
  5. Strong communication and organizational skills.
  6. The ability to work independently and as a team member.

General Faculty Qualifications

  1. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the mission and work of Hope Academy and a desire to play an integral part in growing the impact of Hope Academy.
  2. Ability to effectively work in a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, and economically disadvantaged urban community.
