High School Interventionist Teacher

Type: Part-time position (0.5 FTE)

Job Details

  1. Teach two or three courses of modified curriculum in small group setting
  2. Assist in assessment of student growth
  3. Coach US Educational Assistant to provide support to students pushing into classes
  4. Confidently supervise and build relationships with students in classrooms and halls
  5. Other duties as requested by the Director of Student Support

Education & Skills Required

  1. Minimum BS or BA in Education with emphasis in LD or SpEd preferred.
  2. Classroom or school-related experience preferred.
  3. Willingness to go above and beyond in building relationships with students.

General Faculty Qualifications

  1. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the mission and work of Hope Academy and a desire to play an integral part in growing the impact of Hope Academy.
  2. Ability to effectively work in a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, and economically disadvantaged urban community.
