Busing Form for Next Year
It may seem early, but our busing company needs bus stop information for next school year! Please fill out our 2023-24 Busing Form by Friday, June 9th. Please complete one form per student so we know each student’s busing needs! Reminder: If you do not fill out the Busing Form, we cannot guarantee your bus stop will be ready for the first month of school. Please make sure to complete as soon as possible! Thank you!
End of Year Ceremonies!
8th Grade Ceremony: Wednesday, May 31st from 8-9 am in the Lower Gym. Breakfast provided! 8th graders and their families are invited!
5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony: Wednesday, May 31st from 3:15-4:15 pm. Program in the Lower Gym and treats in the courtyard afterwards. 5th graders and their families are invited!
Acorns to Oaks: Thursday, June 1st from 3-4 pm. Program in the Lower Gym and treats in the courtyard afterwards. Kindergarteners, Seniors, and their families are invited!
Graduation: Saturday, June 3rd from 6-7 pm in the Lower Gym. Each Senior has 15 tickets to hand out to family and friends. If you need more or wish to attend, please visit the US office for extra tickets.
8th Grade Valleyfair Day!
The 8th grade Valleyfair day is Wednesday, May 31st! The 8th grade ceremony will take place beforehand from 8 – 9 am and then students will leave for the park! Permission slips should already have been filled out and turned into the main office. Reminder: The school dress code still applies for Valleyfair. Shorts must be longer than fingertip length, no spaghetti strap tank tops, and appropriate swim wear must be brought. There will be water rides available so make sure to dress accordingly!
Summer Session 2023
Summer Session is right around the corner on June 12 – July 7! Class will be from 8:30 am -12:30 pm for all K-8th grade students. Click here for all the Summer Session details! Last Day of School: June 2nd!
The LAST DAY of school is Friday, June 2nd! Only one week left! The following week June 5th – 9th there will be NO SCHOOL. Enjoy a nice mini break before Summer Session starts for K-8th grade students on Monday, June 12th! (Reminder that Summer Session is required for ALL K-8th grade students).
Family Summer Cookout
Join us for our Family Summer Cookout on Sunday, June 11th from 2-4 pm! We will meet outside in the 24th parking lot. Food and games will be provided! We hope to see you there!
Device Return 6/1
All Upper School students will be turning in their devices on Thursday, June 1st. Please make sure your student brings their Chromebook, charger, and carrying cases to school. Any items not returned will result in a fine/charge to your account. Thanks!
Order a yearbook!
Last day to order a yearbook is Thursday, June 1st! If you’ve already ordered one, pick it up in the Upper School office today or next week! To order a yearbook go to Order Yearbooks | Lifetouch Yearbooks and type in 8183823 for the Yearbook ID Code. They are $25 each.
Revive Summer Opportunities
Junior-High Day Camp (June 12-28)
We will meet Mon-Wed from 12:30–3:00pm at Hope Academy for a time of snacks, games, Bible teaching, and field trips! Students entering grades 6–8 in Fall 2023 are welcome to attend. No cost, sign-up by June 9. Sign up here.
Youth Retreat (July 13–16)
Youth who have completed grades 6–12 are welcome to join us for an extended weekend of having fun, building friendships, and encountering Jesus at Covenant Park Bible Camp in Mahtowa, MN! A couple changes to note for next year: Upper School Kick-Off will be for both Upper school parents and students next year! Picture Day will now be earlier in September. We also split Parent Involvement Day to be Upper and Lower School specific. Summer Session will also end before the 4th of July! Thanks! We’re excited for what’s to come!

Check-In at Hope Academy
Visiting Hope Academy? You’ll get to sign-in at our iPad kiosk! Parents, you will sign-in with your QuickPIN. This was emailed/texted from SchoolPass on 10/25. (Example email & text). Can’t find it? Call our front office and they can tell you. Watch our short check-in instructional video here and make sure you eventually save your Digital ID and QuickPIN. If a student is leaving early, parents need to sign them out and if an Upper School student arrives after 9:55 am, they will need to sign themselves into SchoolPass in the US Office and be marked tardy. Tardies will be registered starting at 9:56 each school day – no grace period. Thanks for helping us keep Hope Academy safe for our students!

Morning Drop-Off: 9:45 – 9:55 am
LS: Starts at 4:15 pm and US: 4:25 pm
– If you only have Kindergarten & 1st grade students: try to come at or before 4:15.
– Other Lower School students usually come outside between 4:20-4:25.
– If you have one or more Upper School students: Do not come before 4:25 (when the US is dismissed). Teachers will supervise your Lower School students outside until 4:30.

English Bible Study: Wednesdays from 10 am – 12 pm. Meet across the street at the First Care/Odam Clinic building at 2015 Chicago Ave.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT CENTER (ASC)
The Upper School Academic Support Center will be open in the cafeteria before school Monday through Friday from 7:45-9:45 a.m. The after school Academic Support Center will also be open Monday through Thursday from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE
Morning Program: 7:45 – 9:45 am
Afternoon Program: 4:15 – 5:30 pm
