• Bus 4 & 5 families will hear from Family Ministries to see if there’s interest in forming carpool groups. (Carpools will be reimbursed by Hope and need to provide a copy of a driver’s license, proof of insurance and a background check). If you are willing to pick up other students, please email Michelle Vanderveen at email@example.com!
• We will waive fees for those Families needing before or after school care due the need to drive their students because of busing issues.
• If you are willing to have your students ride MTC we will reimburse for Sept and Oct at the current rate of $1 per ride when a student submits a paper receipt/transfer from MTC. *Anyone in a household with a student receiving Free or Reduced Lunch (FRL) is eligible to receive this reduced fare. Hope Academy believes that God’s love has the power to create unity across cultures, ethnicities, income levels, and political parties. As believers we have the distinct joy of pursuing a higher calling—to love God and each other, even and especially in our differences. As we celebrate and learn about different cultures this year, we wanted to share our 4 main Cultural Harmony core values:
Imago Dei: We are captured by God’s beautiful, biblical vision for cultural diversity where all people and cultures are treasured and celebrated as creations of God.
Lament: We lament the painful legacy of sins of racism and discrimination, and we are committed to fighting prejudice in every form, personally and systemically.
Courage: We believe the gospel of the forgiveness of sins infuses our pursuit of cultural harmony with hope and courage to face sins of bias, abuse of power and prejudice whenever we are tempted to despair.
Community: We believe racial harmony happens through building meaningful relationships where we are intentional about hearing and empathizing with one another’s stories.

Need to last minute pick up your child from school? Or send them home on the bus? If your child’s regular end-of-day transportation needs to change between busing and parent pick up, you MUST call the office by 3 pm. This timing allows the student lists to change and teachers to be informed so we can keep track of everyone. If you call after 3 pm, we may not be able to make that change.
When dropping off your student or picking them up, please do not use the Chicago Avenue entrance after 9:30am or before 4:45pm. We have 10 buses that need to park to drop off and pickup students. Also please do not park when you are using the parent pickup area by Peavey Park. You must get you student in your vehicle and leave immediately. If you need to visit the building you must either park in off street parking near the school or use the PEI ramp. We understand parking around here is difficult, but we need to keep these areas clear at the appropriate times. Thank you for your understanding.
