With the transition to more devices, we wanted to take some extra precautions in internet safety for your children. We are excited to announce that Hope Academy has made an investment in this area through the purchase of a school subscription to a content filtering and monitoring application called Securly: An email was sent home this week to both you and your students regarding Securly. Please take the time to sit down with your child and talk about internet safety, how to honor God in this area, what it means to guard your heart, and why that is so important to do so. We continue to appreciate your partnership in this all.

Click the links below to see what protocol will be followed if a Hope student is sick. This protocol clearly outlines what will need to take place for them to return to school. Questions? Email our COVID Coordinator at

Come one come all (not all at once, of course, because of physical distancing) to our weekly Cohort Tournament! In years past, we have had students compete in House systems, but, in order to keep students from mixing with different classrooms, we have decided this year to have Middle School Cohorts compete against other Middle School Cohorts and High School Cohorts compete against other High School Cohorts. So, let’s have some fun playing physically distant games! We have also implemented ways for 100% Distance Learning students to participate. And, like always, the prize is some amazingly delicious food prepared in the most COVID-safe kitchens in the great state of Minnesota!

*NEW* Minneapolis Public Schools has 27 sites across the city of Minneapolis, open M-F, for parents to pick up a box of 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches for any children in their homes ages 1-17. Click here for more information:

By issuing students of the same grade the same type of device (Laptops, Chromebooks, and iPads), we hope to make technology access and learning opportunities equitable. All students have the same tools aligned with teaching and designed to best support their learning. Please remember that using the borrowed device is a privilege and not a right. You and your student are responsible for the borrowed device until you return it at the end of the year. Click here to read the Borrowed Device handbook.
