Job Details

The Main Office Coordinator is responsible for general and clerical tasks at Hope Academy. This position is functions as a point of contact for staff, students, parents/guardians, and guests.

The following reflects essential functions for this position but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned:

  1. General communication with parents and staff regarding transportation, events, busing, attendance, and tuition.
  2. Tend to students’ needs.
  3. Provide administrative support to the Lower School Principal.
  4. Oversight of office equipment. Laminator, copy machines, etc.
  5. Maintenance of student records.

Education & Skills Required

  1. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the mission and work of Hope Academy and a desire to play an integral part in growing the impact of Hope Academy.
  2. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  3. Computer skills required. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  4. Willingness to go above and beyond in building relationships with students.
  5. Bilingual in English and Spanish – speaking and writing – required.
  6. Strong communication and organizational skills.
  7. The ability to work independently and as a team member.

General Faculty Qualifications

  1. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the mission and work of Hope Academy and a desire to play an integral part in growing the impact of Hope Academy.
  2. Ability to effectively work in a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, and economically disadvantaged urban community.

Substitute Teachers

Job Details

  • – Experience working with children is essential.
  • – Follow lesson plans provided by the regular Teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students.
  • – Manage the classroom effectively.
  • – Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including the halls, on the playground, and in the cafeteria.
  • – Minimum Associates degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
