Job Details

  • – Experience working with children is essential.
  • – Follow lesson plans provided by the regular Teacher to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students.
  • – Manage the classroom effectively.
  • – Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including the halls, on the playground, and in the cafeteria.
  • – Minimum Associates degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

General Faculty Qualifications

  1. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the mission and work of Hope Academy and a desire to play an integral part in growing the impact of Hope Academy.
  2. Ability to effectively work in a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, and economically disadvantaged urban community.

Part-time Academic Support Center Tutor

Type: Part time position for the 2021-22 school year.

Job Details

Before School ASC – Upper School Academic Support Center (ASC) Tutor

  1. 5 hours a week, hourly position
  2. Only days when school is in session
  3. Assist the Academic Support Teacher by working with and tutoring middle and high school students at the Academic Support Center.
  4. The Academic Support Center is a place for students to get additional help with their school work before and after school. This position would only be for the before school time.
  5. Hours are Monday-Friday 8:15-9:45 a.m. or 8:30-9:45 a.m.
  6. Pay rate is $15.00 per hour.

General Qualifications

  1. Supportive of the school’s mission to foster hope in God within the inner-city neighborhood of Minneapolis by providing youth with an outstanding, Christ-centered education.
  2. Ability to effectively educate in a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, and economically disadvantaged urban community.
  3. Desire to equip the children of the city with an academically rigorous, comprehensive, classical Christian education to prepare them to deal with the complex issues of living in this present society.
  4. Willingness to go above and beyond in building relationships with students.
  5. BS or BA preferred but not required.
