9th & 10th Grade Bible/Writing Teacher (Full-Time)

Job Details

  1. 9th-10th Bible/Writing Position
  2. Writing is taught within the context of Biblical Studies. Applicants for this position should have both a good grasp of how to teach writing and a strong background in Biblical studies.
  3. 9th Grade = Old Testament Theology (2 sections)
  4. 10th Grade = New Testament Theology (2 sections)
  5. Additional non-Bible elective class (1 section)
  6. Full time positions include additional full-time teacher responsibilities besides just teaching the classes.
  7. Salary is based on education and years of classroom teaching experience.

General Faculty Qualifications

  1. Supportive of the school’s mission to foster hope in God within the inner-city neighborhood of Minneapolis by providing youth with an outstanding, Christ-centered education.
  2. Mature Christ-follower with the ability to effectively educate in a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, and economically disadvantaged urban community.
  3. Desire to equip the children of the city with an academically rigorous, comprehensive, classical Christian education to prepare them to deal with the complex issues of living in this present society.
  4. Willingness to go above and beyond in building relationships with students.
  5. Minimum BS or BA in Education preferred. Teaching Licensure preferred, but not required.
