Friday, April 26th is Middle School Track & Field Day. Student must arrive at Hope Academy at 8:15 a.m. so we can arrive on time for the meet. We will arrive back to school around 2:30 p.m. Blue shirts should be worn to represent Hope Academy. The blue Summer School shirts are preferred. Please dress appropriately for the weather, wear sunscreen if sunny, and bring a water bottle. Concessions are available for purchase. Students who usually receive a hot lunch will be given a bag lunch. The meet is held at the Edina Community Center. Click here for a map. –
- Upper School Creative Expressions (CE) Night – Thursday, April 18th at 7:00 p.m.
- Starts with Choir/General Music program (Note: not all Upper School students are in choir/general music).
- After the music program, we will go upstairs where each Upper School student will share a piece of poetry, speech, or spoken word in a smaller setting.
- Students should dress in nice attire (no jeans, uniforms are ok).
- There will be no ASC or detention after school on CE Night.
- Students (and siblings) will not be allowed to stay after school as there will be no supervision.
All returning Lower and Middle School students will need the shirts for the Summer Session that begins on June 10th. Order forms have already been sent home. The summer uniform also includes khaki shorts, white socks, and tennis shoes. Sandals are not allowed. T-shirts will not be ordered without payment.
In order to maintain a safe environment at Hope Academy, we are implementing a new main entry screening policy. Effective immediately, front desk workers may ask you to provide your name and purpose of visit before buzzing you in. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and for helping keep Hope Academy a safe school.
Swim lessons available during the day, evening or weekend for Brooklyn Center & Hennepin County residents ages 3-18 who have not had lessons before and present a financial need.

Parents whose last name begins with the letters A – H come Mon, April 22nd, I – Q come Tue, April 23rd and R – Z come on Wed, April 24th. Conferences are from 3-7:30pm. If you can’t make your designate day you can come to one of the other two days. Please bring your 1040 tax return to the conference (or pay stubs if you don’t have one). Please also read over the Parent Covenant document before coming. There will also be a $50 off one month’s tuition raffle!
Quarter 3 ended right before Spring Break (March 28th). Grades, HOPE Values, and the new Academic Probation lists will come out the Friday after break (Friday, April 12th).
The next House Service Event will be held on Saturday, April 20th. We will be blessing two churches in the neighborhood by helping them clean up the blocks where they are located and helping with general cleaning of their buildings. We will be meeting at Mount Sinai Church located on 2917 S 15th Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55407. We will be working from 9am to 12pm and eating lunch right after. House points given to both students and family members for attending.
